As part of the new requirements with virtual at home learning:

 I will be holding a Zoom meeting every Wednesday from 9 AM to 11 AM for the students in all my classes. 

I will also have ZOOM Office Hours:

11 AM to 12:30 PM each Wednesday

3rd and 4th Quarter Objectives:

11th Grade
Students will be reading:
  "The Autobiography of Frederick Douglas"
        Harlem Renaissance Period Study Text pgs. 864-873
        "How it Feels to be the Color Me"  Zora Neale Hurston
        "I, too" Langston Hughes and a variety of his poems.
"The Story of an Hour" by Kate Chopin
"A Rose for Emily" by William Faulkner
"A Jury of Her Peers" by Susan Glaspell

SOL 11.4  The student will read, comprehend and analyze relationships among American Literature, history and culture. 
SOL 11.5  The student will read and analyze a variety of nonfiction texts.

12th Grade
Students will:
Read and Analyze Sonnets #18, #29, #130 by William Shakespeare.
Write own Sonnet, using Sonnet Slam Project Guidelines
Read "Hamlet" by William Shakespeare 

SOL 12.4 The student will be able to explain how the sound of a poem and it's sound devices that support the subject, mood, and theme. SOL 12.5  The student will read, comprehend and analyze the development of British literature.
