APRIL 3,2020

We are officially  beginning Spring Break. Please take some time to de-stress....maybe take a walk, read, send a text to someone you haven't connected with lately. What we are experiencing is a strain on everyone, but we will get through it. I'm available through email, so please reach out to me if you feel like it.

Sincerely,

Elizabeth Day

Students, your grade as of March 13, 2020 reflects the classwork and assessments from the previous and completed unit, "Quién soy yo", which I am not able to download. If there is something you would like to make up or re-do from that unit, please contact me and I will give you an alternate assignment. You may email me and we'll figure something out together.

The most important thing right now is to do your part in staying safe and well. I miss you!

Sincerely,

Elizabeth Day

Body of message appears below.

Buenos días, Padres y estudiantes.

My website contains the "La comida" unit we began working on during the beginning of March. You will find the unit in Classroom Links. I attached the digital copy (students who were present on March 12 and March 13 received a hard copy of the unit). Links to the various activities for listening and reading are included. We completed the exercises up to page 14. You may go back and work on activities you missed due to absence, or continue on with page 15. You will also find the link to Studyspanish.com. Click on Grammar, and on the left side you will find units. Click on a unit, and you will see various topics in Spanish Grammar. I am listing the grammar topics for the "La comida" unit. You may use Studyspanish.com for review and practice (page numbers correspond with Unit pages).

1. Questions Words (p.2)          4. Querer (p.12)

2. Gustar (p.5)                            5. Comparatives (more, less, etc) (p.19)

3. Ser / Haber (p.9)                     6. Telling Time (p.27)

Above all, please stay safe. The health and well-being of you and your families is the first priority. I think of each of you every day. Please reach out to me through email, if you wish.

Con mucho cariño,

Señora Day

In the event of school closing due to the Corona virus, students are able to continue working online.

Students have been given the Unit 2 handout which they have been working on in class. They have highlighted various websites which accompany the unit lessons. Students can work individually on the exercises at their own pace. Please use an online dictionary, if necessary.

*Under Classroom Files, students will find the digital copy of the unit, including links to videos. The standards met are also under Classroom Files.
